ZXB – The unique shipping ligne
Yantian (China) – Cai Mep (Vietnam) – Baltimore (United States) – New York (United States) – Boston (United States) – Yantian (China)

Operated exclusively by ZIM, the service will commence with a bi-weekly frequency and tend to speed up to weekly within a few months. The specific train schedule will be officially announced in the next few days for businesses to actively regulate cargo.
Regarding the competitive advantage of the ZXB service, ZIM claims that it is the service with the “fastest transit time from Asia to Baltimore, relatively long “cutoff” time at Asian ports, creating favorable conditions for businesses to have the most reliable shipment before exporting. Not only that, the lane to the port is privileged, optimized as much as possible in terms of delivery time. The fast connecting strategy to rail/air/road systems is also the highlight of ZIM’s new service.
The role of ZXB in the vision and strategy of ZIM
Eli Glickman, President & CEO of ZIM said: “The launch of this new service is our attempt to develop a specialized and rapid premium service that will become a highly competitive alternative solution with air freight. As part of our vision and strategy, we are taking initiatives to support our customers, especially during supply chain disruptions because of the pandemic.”
“This new service is another building block in ZIM e-commerce eXpress, which we launched in 2020 with our first line from South China to Los Angeles. ZXB will still be a major breakthrough in ZIM’s ambition of becoming a multi-services network.” Eli Glickman revealed.
