Agricultural, forestry and fishery trading center
The situation of goods stuck at border gates in recent weeks has raised the problem of the need for a commodity trading center to carry out transactions, gather, store, prepare and package for direct export of products to the Chinese market. To solve this cover, the government has assigned Quang Ninh province to study the construction of the Asia Pacific Agroforestry and Fisheries Trading Center.
The People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province said that the Asia-Pacific Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Trading Center will be built at the opening area of Km 3 4 Hai Yen (in Nail Cai City). This is the transit point of Goods and agricultural products of Vietnam to China. It is expected that the size of goods cleared at this trading center is about 3 million tons per year.
The Asia-Pacific Center was built in an area adjacent to China’s Dongxing border crossing. The area is one of China’s 16 largest logistics centers. In particular, Dong Hung border gate is one of the 5 main fruit imports from Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries.
The opening of the pontoon bridge Km3+4 Hai Yen in Ho Chi Minh City (Quang Ninh, Vietnam) is located in the system of Thanh Dat ICD Port with a synchronous infrastructure and logictics with a total investment of about VND 1,200 billion. This is an area that is expected to best meet the demand for import and export of Agricultural, Seafood and Fruit goods of Vietnam to the Chinese market and other countries in the region.
Infrastructure, transport and logistics are the basis for removing congestion at the border
Mr. Le Minh Hoan, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the long-term method of solving the problem of goods congestion at the border gate must now come from the investment of infrastructure, transport and logistics. This is a model that integrates old values to create a new vitality. Moreover, the core thing when building the Asia-Pacific center is to help people abandon the export mindset by the quota line, instead boldly exporting by the official line.
In the past years, the transport infrastructure network across the province in general, Ho Chi Minh City in particular has been upgraded, meeting a variety of trading methods. However, the logistics system needs to be enhanced to maintain the initiative in exports and ensure the price of goods, especially in the context of China implementing the Zero Covid policy.
In addition, Quang Ninh province has actively negotiated with China to speed up the circulation of goods. In addition, Nail Cai City has set up an interagency working group consisting of customs, border guards, And Cai International Border Gate Management Board to prepare parking lots and quickly resolve procedures.
