According to electronic portal of Binh Dinh province, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung – Chairman of the People’s Committee have had a meeting with Mr. Kenichi Horinouchi – General Director of Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam.
At the meeting. Mr. Kenichi Horinouchi said that MITSUBISHI Group is looking for a second point to place their second automobile factory in Vietnam. They chose Binh Dinh because the province has a deep-water port which is priority to their choice. In addition, infrastructure of traffic and technic is improving and quite convenient for transportation.
Representative of Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam comments that large free land of Binh Dinh is favorable for the construction of accessory factories serving the automobile industry.
Chairman of the People’s Committee – Ho Quoc Dung encourages Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam to invest and set their automobile assembly plant up in Binh Dinh. He committed to simplify the administrative procedures and many other preferential policies for implementing such projects of Misubishi.
Binh Dinh is a key economic province in the middle area with technical infrastructure is quite complete. Quy Nhon Port is the central international trade gateway in connecting the Central Highlands region, Laos and northeastern Cambodia to countries around the world. Besides, economic system, transport infrastructure on airways, roads and railways is perfect.
There are 6 industrial parks in the province, of which the largest one is Nhon Hoi Economic Zone of over 14,000 hectares, which has attracted lots of Japanese investors.
Becamex Binh Dinh industrial zone, which has a total investment of about VND 3,333 billion, was introduced to Mitsubishi Motor Vietnam by Binh Dinh province leaders. There’s not only 1,000 hectares of industrial land area, but also more than 400 hectares for urban, services and public utilities.
In early 2018, Mr Kozo Shiraji – Vice President of Mitsubishi Motors Group has met Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue on discussing the plan to build the second manufacturer in Vietnam. This investment is in total of 250 million USD. Mitsubishi’s first factory in Vietnam was located in An Binh ward, Di An town, Binh Duong province.
Mr. Kozo Shiraji said Vietnam is one of the most important areas in producing, the potential market of Southeast Asia with the advantage of young and skilled labor.
