The logistics project that located at Vo Van Kiet Street, Binh Thuy District with a scale of about 1,650 hectares (phase 1 is about 350 hectares) will include main functional areas such as logistics, cargo terminal, distribution center, and aviation support service centers, ect, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung – Chairman of the Founding Council of SOVICO Group said.
Particularly for the cargo terminal and aircraft repair hangar project at Can Tho International Airport, with a scale of 1.8 ha proposed by SOVICO, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City assigned the Department of Transport to coordinate with Can Tho International Airport to support, provide information and create favorable conditions for SOVICO Group Joint Stock Company to contact the Ministry of Transport and Vietnam Airlines Corporation conducted surveys, researched and proposed projects to ensure compliance with regulations.
Also at the meeting, the enterprise proposed to invest in a new urban area, called Phong Dien eco-tourism urban area, to connect with the project of an aviation logistics center. This urban area is expected to be located on both sides of Vo Van Kiet street with a scale of about 1000 ha.
Accordingly, the time allowed for investors to survey and research is 6 months from the date of having written approval of the City People’s Committee. During the survey and research process, the People’s Committee of Can Tho City requires SOVICO not to affect the lives of people in the area. At the same time, all costs related to the survey and research are paid by SOVICO Group Joint Stock Company.
