Thanh Ha lychee is known as a famous specialty when it comes to Hai Duong Province. Recently, not only receiving many incentives from domestic authorities but also highly adapted in the international market, lychee is gradually reaching out to the world. Specifically, until the end of May 28, there were 1,239 tons of Thanh Ha lychee exported; including 710 tons to China, 150 tons to Korea, 200 tons to France , 150 tons to Australia, 29 tons to Japan, v.v and domestic consumption was 754 tons.
In addition, to promote consumption, lychee appeared for the first time on online sales platforms. Through the program “National online Vietnamese stall” on e-commerce website, organized by the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy Agency, on May 19, Thanh Ha lychees were opened for sale right on the homepage with priority position on the Voso e-commerce platform.
Moreover, the stall for Thanh Ha lychee has officially been put into operation on Sendo since May 24 with many preferential policies: selling many varieties with prices at about 18,000 VND/kg with 1,000 free shipping codes. In collaboration with the ZaloPay payment application, customers now have more options to pay the bills. The representative of Sendo said that after just over 4 hours of opening for sale, more than 3 tons of lychee were ordered.
Except for Sendo and Voso, Thanh Ha lychee is also being sold on Lazada e-commerce platform. The number of orders on this site was more than expected. Total consumption volume reported was the highest among other online platforms which sell the same product.
According to the statistics of the Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Duong province, until this morning of May 28, Thanh Ha lychee (Hai Duong) had sold a total of 45.8 tons on e-commerce platforms; of which on Lazada was 22 tons, Sendo was 16 tons, Voso was 7 tons and 0.8 tons on Postsmart.
Director of Rong Do Company, an organization major in purchasing and supplying lychee for e-commerce platforms, said that in response to positive customer feedback, the company is expected to purchase about 300 tons of Thanh Ha lychee to meet all customers’ demand.
Not only for domestic consumption, in the coming days, Bac Giang lychee, another plantation of lychee in Vietnam, will appear on Alibaba.com – one of the largest e-commerce platforms in China. This is a huge opportunity to promote products to customers around the world without going through traditional marketing channels.
