Find and buy goods from Japan, Korea, Thailand, China
The number of online buyers has risen dramatically since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic two years ago. When customers are familiar with this kind of shopping, they will likely initiate cross-border trading activities. Mr. Phan Xuan Dung, Sales Director of Ninja Van Vietnam said that in addition to buying goods in Southeast Asia, the demand for products from China, Japan, Korea, and Thailand was growing on Vietnamese e-commerce platforms.
Thanks to this consumption habit, many businesses and online shop owners (general warehouses, agents) are searching for sources of goods in the above countries to bring back to serve the home market.
According to statistics from Ninja Van Group, there has been a list of customers of more than 600 Vietnamese businesses or online shop owners who regularly use international import services after less than 3 years since the development of this service. This contributes to the generation of about 2,000 foreign shipping orders per month, with a monthly trade value of over VND 60 billion.
Improve delivery quality to develop e-commerce
According to the Business Overview report of e-commerce floors in the first half of 2022 extracted from the data platform of Metric.vn, Vietnam is becoming the second largest e-commerce market in Southeast Asia, only after Indonesia.
Delivery is the final stage of the online shopping process and plays a vital role in influencing the overall customer experience. As a result, the constant advancement of this stage will generate momentum for e-commerce development.
The first thing that sellers need to supply is information on the delivery firm. Because 85 percent of Vietnamese survey respondents want to know who will deliver their packages. This provides clients with additional peace of mind and a sense of service quality assurance.
The actual delivery time of the parcel also needs to be kept up to date with the customer. This will be easier for them to reflect, remark on services, and request support resources that will allow them to adjust their delivery methods to their own requirements.
Furthermore, free shipping is a major motivator for online purchases. Up to 26% of the buyers polled expressed this desire. From there, it can be observed that e-commerce platforms use unique promotions and free shipping as a successful strategy.
It is known that the above survey was conducted in July 2021 and compiled by the end of 2021 in six countries where Ninja Van operates, including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam – with more than 9,000 respondents.
