On Mar 30th, Bamboo Airways’ representative shared that the airline had been given a slot to operate direct flights to LHR from May 2021 by the UK Airports Council.
Specifically, Bamboo Airways is allowed to fly six times per week to LHR, including 03 flights on Monday, Thursday, Sunday from LHR to Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) and another 03 flights from LHR to Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
These flights are scheduled to land at 15:30 and take off at 17:40, picking up and dropping off passengers at Terminal No. 2 of LHR airport.
The representative of Bamboo Airways also told the press that the airline would utilize its fleet of wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for this new route. They are confident that there is temporarily little direct competition regarding this service.
Bamboo Airways will put the direct flights to LHR into operation in May as long as the Government approves of their plan and the market conditions are favorable.
Besides, Bamboo Airways is currently preparing to recover activities for intra-Asia flight routes. Direct flights to Korea, Taiwan, Japan are expected to be revived from Q2, 2021.
